Moments like these, when the world is still
When the startled waves run to the shore
Like a frightened child to their mother
Who runs back to play once more
The salt water kisses my now darkened skin
And the taste never leaves my lips
And I can do nothing but marvel at the sea
As a wonder in my eyes is lit
Expanse unmatched, people unattached
As it collides with the painted sky
Until the sun hides, and the moon comes to dance
And all I can see is you and I
