Still
Replacing one is hard,
To get rid of the memories is tough,
To forget the feeling is worse,
Than to be forgotten by the one you care for.
Replacing her wasn’t easy,
Looking at her being with anyone else was hard,
Seeing her smile made me sad,
For all I wanted to was to be part of that happiness again.
Replacing her I thought would heal,
The wounded scar she left,
But alas I knew I was wrong,
Though I seemed happy and strong.
I was falling to pieces,
No one was there to pick me up,
I was hurt and still hurting,
But I guess she never found out.
