Will I be ready?
I have been preparing until my voice runs weak.
I have been waiting for my biggest moment in front of all my peers,
but will I be ready?
I am fumbling my words as if I forgot the language.
I am sweating as if I finished a marathon.
I am expressing second thoughts,
So will I be ready?
I watched the crowd applaud the preceding speech.
I waited as my turn slowly approaches.
I listened to the announcer call my name.
I walked out onto the stage, taking in the sight of a thousand eyes.
Will I be ready?
