I Am...
I am a pennyboard,
mixed board like mixed emotions
like how I feel when faced with a difficult decision.
People braced by me while I brace them,
pushing me forward,
without them I would be mundane.
After awhile I become lethargic,
hitting a bump in the road,
struggling,
but someone there time and time again
to push me along, to aid me.
They teach me the twists and turns in life,
always there for me.
I am a book,
pages, assigned to the adventures I’ve been on
in my past, present, and future.
Some are engrossed,
they see my story
while others just cast me away
without care in what I have to say.
It doesn’t matter,
I have family that loves me,
people who join the story
until there is nothing else left to convey.
