the Wrong Ones
the Wrong Ones were taken in the swampy cloak of night
  boots smashing the door
  hands thrashing and breaking
a woman draped in white silk
  mud-spattered and boot battered
a child with a small teddy bear
snatched and ripped before his eyes
  a man crying out
  it’s a mistake
  dragged through the streets
hiding their heads in the cloak of darkness
  full of shame
  the woman begs
  the child wails
  the man is silent
  because they know
  they are the Wrong Ones
