Terrifying beauty
I’ve never been so enthralled,
I’ve never been so emotional,
I’ve never been so terrified.
The fact that you can make me feel this way,
Scares me down to my bones.
Vulnerability scrapes down my veins like ice,
Insects flutter in my belly like a spring day,
I’m soaring,
With every chance at falling,
And I don’t mind.
I’m getting used to the gnawing fear,
Escaping through my extremities,
Every waking second.
Waiting for the moment when you chance,
To smile my way.
