moving on, and other lies
take these hands they
bleed for you;
take these eyes they
see for you;
shatter lamps and lightbulbs
run wet shiver shake days past,
this torrential downpour parades through,
moss grows on damp windowpanes and
blocks out any sunlight;
watch mold grow on these peeling walls,
days fading like shadows against old paint
a room frozen and full of
suicides.
the winter is shaped like him
the night carves and creates him
wailing women shield and abate him
hide and hide and hide, I've been trying
to escape him;
this darkness tastes of him
I've been coming home to the same place
I'm running from.
