Towards the finish line

Everyone is breathless, the time has froze,
as silent as the sound of footsteps on a pillow,
was the sound of their paws,
as graceful as a ballerina on the scene,
was their slender movements,
tongues hanging in the air,
enjoying the moment,
then ran towards the finish line,
and in one moment,
all was over,
a champion was crowned,
a new winner had come!
