Oh dear reader, do you know
What you've gotten yourself into?
See, this is a poem.
Though it may not rhyme,
Or have a set cadence,
Be aware of the fact that
This is a poem.
You may be thinking,
“Gee, this poem is so self aware!”
And, well, you're right.
But who decided that's?
Surely not I, but then who?
Could it be the writer of my words?
Did they give me this?
Or… did you?
Oh dear reader, what have you gotten me into?
