People in the Hallways
  I know her name,
  Not the thoughts
That make her who she is.
  A sad book examined,
  Briefly in the hallways.
  Torn paperback cover.
  I don’t know
  The secrets
  She keeps quiet.
  We all know names,
  But we don’t know
  What makes someone’s eyes
  Light up,
  Or look
  Down
While they pass us in the hallways.
