Elegy to the 6th Grade Relationship
  Dear me,
  how dramatic you are.
  here then there,
  a roller coaster ride.
  My goodness,
  how quietly you creep.
  small flights
  that land big bruises.
  Oh please,
  how demanding you are.
  pick me up or
  put me down.
  Oh my,
  how quick you are.
  appear suddenly then
  go up in flame.
  Good god,
  he loves me and
  I don’t feel the same.
