COMPITITION WEIGHT LIFTING
My pulse starts to race,
Two strange judges watch me,
and my trainer encourages me to lift more,
by yelling “you can do it, Show those adults how strong you really are”
Strong adults start to mock me and give me evil glares
One even growled at me
Which oddly pushed me to work harder .
I strive to hit a goal.
More sweat drips off my face.
I look over to my mom,
She hands me a look of confidence, a smile and a little nod telling me I can do it and supporting me
so I push myself to lift the weight.
I can barely think straight.
I finally finish and
I feel like I will collapse on the floor
I start again and want to stop
but I keep lifting
and lift until I can’t lift anymore
