Budapest Armies
I raised Budapest armies,
And butterfly gardens,
To march into lands unknown,
Full of fires of stardust.
But my armies are leaden down
With shields of leather leashes,
Letting my butterflies fly
To the iron bars painted blue
Of the sky promised.
Instead, I wear dresses,
And play with the dolls given,
Holding my stardust
In dreams that marched
To Budapest without me.
