When I looked into the mirror

I saw a stranger rose in front of me
Praising A barren desert
A vast sea of worries
Filled with “what ifs” and unknowns
But knowing what must be done
Triggers it
The beast’s rage swelled
From a quite pebble to a screaming boulder
The creature from the black lagoon
The mirror begins to crack
The monster,

into denial
Gives up and
S      h      a     t      t     e   r    s  into pieces of nothing
The dust settles
Quite and peaceful
From the same mirror I see
A lilac rising from nothing
