It's not fair
It’s not fair
My father said i’m only eight.
He wanted me to act older.
He said that i just shouldn’t date,
Even if i’m feeling bolder.
I see my brother heading out,
I wonder why i’m not allowed...
Instead i’m wanting to break out.
It makes me want to scream out loud!
He can leave home at anytime,
I wonder why it’s even fair.
He even leaves round dinnertime,
Feel like i'm in prison daycare.
I want to leave, want to grow up
Not fair just because he’s nine,
I wish I was just as grown up
Pizza for dinner, I’ll be fine.
