My sweet Syd
Sometimes I think
About how we were,
Much to write and no ink,
Making love right here
In my dreams
I don’t find you anymore,
Yet in my thoughts
You aren’t completely gone
I believed you were perfect
A flower untouched,
And me as a hummingbird
Was going crazy for your sweetness
A long time as passed
But now I think clearer
No one is perfect my dear
No one is atoned
Yet I loved you much
With your errors and imperfections
And you loved me back
With mistakes of my own
Now the moon is shining
Such a beautiful night,
Brings back memories
of a time more bright
holding your hand,
kissing your cheeks,
waking up next to you,
what a great treat!
I hope to life that
My time of seeing you
hasn’t passed yet
my sweet Syd
here I will be loving you
singing and writing to you
loving you as a hummingbird
because you are the most beautiful flower
I have ever seen
