Three Young Maidens
Three sweet maidens of tender young age,
All lay to read, carefully turning every page.
With laughter filled giggles-
And no care in the world,
Three young maidens-
Read together on the floor.
As simpler times are passing by-
And pages left grow shorter.
The three young maidens become two,
And then one.
So there she lay,
As grown as the book is done,
And with many cares, in her world.
