Only A Girl

  I believe you are mistaken
I believe they were not forsaken
Go ahead, look me in the eye
Taunt me with any form of scorn
But I was meant to be born
You tell me I am but so young
  "Only a girl!" you say
But I can prove you wrong
My confidence will forever be so long
  I am 14
  Aye, that I am
But if you listen just this once
You will learn that any girl
  Can prove a court wrong
Please, just listen to the song
  Your ears probably ache
But that is because you never could wake
From your stubborn selfish hearty sake
  I believe you are mistaken
I believe they were not forsaken
I saw them with my own eyes
  Aye, they looked so shaken
The truth is, they could not possibly be taken
  They could have
  No, they must have
Run off for your selfish hearty sake
Just because you needed another story just for you to take
  How were they to know
  You were a fake

This is dedicated to every young girl out there who has no voice in court. You could be the only witness for the trial. She may be the one and only true thing ya'll got that day. You couldda gotten no one, you couldda left this trial silent. But at the same time, she is your witness. And she has a voice.
