  Cold page,
  Clean slate.
  I spill black ink
  To expose its haste
  Crying is like breathing now,
When I inhale your scent of earth
  And deep husk of home.
  Familiarity circles
  Surrounds me like the
Feathery tail of a Chinese dragon
She hums that we’re all on this same level
  Of hell
  But I can’t take it.
  I can’t take it.
  Circulating in between
  Hummingbird heartbeats and
  Let down little sisters, are
Reminders that I’ll always want and wait
  To die;
That life is not kind enough
  To kill me.
