Night Owl
Mice squeak scurrying back to their homes.
Birds wings flapping wildly in the dusk.
Chipmunks and bunnies snuggled and fast asleep
“Hoo Hoo”
All the creatures roll their eyes,
“Would you keep it down?” Scolded the squirrel.
“Yeah we’re all trying to sleep!!” Yelled the baby doe.
“Hoo Hooo”
The owl flies away alone, tears gather in her eyes.
“Can’t sleep either?”
She turns quickly to see a black bat.
“Sorry I can leave,” she croaked.
“No! Stay, it’s nice having company.”
“Thank you.”
