They never stick around long enough,
to see me fully bloom.
They got tired of waiting,
waiting for my stem to shot out, but wouldn't water me.
They got tired of waiting,
waiting for my petals to burst through the bud, but wouldn't bathe me in the sun.
They got tired of waiting,
waiting to see how vibrant I've become, but wouldn't try to understand that
I'm more than what meets the eye,
I'm a process
With depth.
If you would have stuck around long enough you would have known that I'm yellow like the sun, and I'm strong because my stem is 6 feet tall facing the sun, my petals are soft like pillow kisses, I'm intelligent, my seeds spread vitality.
If you would have stuck around you would have known that I was broken, for a long time.
Until I found hope in the sun ,
and now that's why when I bloom,
bloom facing the sun.
