When I close my eyes to go to sleep
My mind wanders and goes deep
and I sometimes dream about you.

But when I wake I am left with a headache
Mourning for the dream that died
Leaving me as the dead girl walking inside,
Cause when I felt your lips on mine
And our arms we're intertwined
The world once again shined.

And in that instant the world stopped spinning
And my eyes lit up with willing,
Willing and a wanting for you
As yours did too
But leaving me to wake and realize it wasn't really true
Cause I still don't have you.

Your arms were once my safe haven but now my weakness
Cause I put you out of my mind but then you crept back into my abyss,
And made me remember how much I missed
The smell of you and the touch of your kiss.
But the way you left
Like I was never a reason to stay,
Makes me wonder
Whether I am more afraid,
Of never see you again or the next time I do
Because now my dreams have me missing you
