Orange
I never liked the color orange
  It reminded me of illness
  A sour break in time
  And caution signs
  That tell you
How to go about your life
I never liked the color orange
  The word seemed
  Weird to me
  Unnatural in the way
  It felt and
  Trickled through my teeth
I never liked the color orange
  Until you changed my way
  You showed me life
  Behind the break
  Bursting from
  Leaves in the fall
  And how the caution
  Faded as the fiery
  Passion grew strong
  Now the letters
  Roll off my tongue
  And seem rightly so
My love's not a sultry red
  Nor a pastel pink,
  No my love burns bright
  Like a lively hue of
  Orange.
