In the long game of chess.

I am worthless

In the beginning,

But with the support

Of the other pieces

I am strong.

My obstacles

And challenges

Overlook me,

But little do they know,

I am their end.

When the battle begins,

I courageously

Move first

Daring my opponents

To come

And attack.

In such a complex game,

I am obligated

To make sacrifices

For a better cause.

Although I am considered

Useless,

Pointless,

Unnecessary,

I continue.

I persevere.

Why?

Because I want to

Make a difference

In the game.

Because I want to

Change the game.

Because I want to

Show my opposers

That a worthless pawn

Can become something great.
