Grains of Sand
Tick tock the clock advanced,
an hourglass emptied,
another minute wasted on pointless subjects and beings.
An obscure path swallows me,
the blistering sun only a memory,
yet the world seemed to go on
as if mine wasn't frozen in place.
Are my feet pasted to the ground,
or is it my mind that cut off the path?
Maybe it was the words spewed from the lips
of those who wanted to throttle my passion.
Like a lone ant trampled by an individual,
my dreams slowly died out
until
the angelic voices broke out across the horizon
their words an alluring encouragement,
a soft whisper drifting through the wind.
No longer is there a vacant room in my spirit
No longer is there turmoil
I will never lose my dream
Even if I'm slow I will walk with my own two feet
because I know this path is mine to take.
Even if I go back, I will reach the road eventually.
To lose your way is how you'll find your future
just like how your back must hurt
in order to let your wings sprout.

I hope more people see that it's alright to follow your dreams. Even if everyone tells you that you can't do it, you shouldn't give up.
