Today I Saw The Whole World
Today I saw the whole world
In all it's pain and beauty
I saw all the world's problems occur
And I saw what it had given me
Today I felt the sharp pain of death
Of loosing someone you love
I felt the black emptiness of death's breath
I felt grief pull me under like a drug
Today I fell under a spell
Shot by an arrow of cupid
I discovered Heaven, forgot about Hell
But in the end felt quite stupid
Today I woke up to find
That something was different, something quite strange
I felt that my body was suddenly not mine
Oh I really did grow up today!
But today was the day I discovered
That nothing was quite the same
For growing up was something I yearned to uncover
But I never knew this much would change
For today I saw the white lillies of my youth
And a rusted golden cup
And if I were to tell you a painful truth
I would say: "I wish I had never grown up!"

I was listening to "Today I Saw the Whole World" by Pierce the Veil when I got the idea for this poem though the song doesnt really have the same idea as this poem.
