Flower and I

Exotic flower,
you and I
are much alike.
We both grow to
be lovely,
And we both crave
the light.
But although you
bloom and blossom
bright,
I will not open my
petals
for other's delight.
So...flower,
that is the
difference
with you and I -
While you blossom,
I refuse 'till time
is right.
