Be the change in the world you want to see

In my life, there are many Happy moments
Moments that I always want to remember
These are the moments that brought me enjoyment
An unknown number

But there are also many mournful moments in my life
Moments that cage me in a cell as its icy fingers squeeze menacingly around my heart
These are the moments that make a mark in my life like a knife
These are the things that I try to forget
But I just have to accept
That these are memories that never go away
These memories run in my mind like a replay

The day everything went wrong
Was the scariest day in my life
But I knew I had to stay strong
Even though it struck me like a knife

The door was open
The window was broken
A thousand things went through my head
My brain was shred

I was so scared
I was so furious
And so unprepared
And fearfully  also curious

A thousand questions flew through my head
But I pushed ahead
I answered the police’s questions
But it seemed like an interrogation

My brother was pestering me
With a thousand questions
And he wouldn’t let me be
Asking questions millions and millions

There are many sad moments in my life
These are the moments that make a mark in my memory like a knife
These are the things that I try to forget
But I just have to accept
That these are memories that never go away
These memories run in my mind like a replay

This poem is very personal to me. This actually happened to me, and I hope that people will like it. It was the first poem that I actually wrote that I actually love.
