Colors
i remember the day i lost the red
i watched my red heart drip away
like watercolor paint
i remember the day i lost the green
the leaves fell of the trees
and the fruit lost their taste
and after all my colors left me
there was only one
everything is blue
and i’m still missing you
everything is blue
no way to pull through
everything is blue
my jeans, my heart, and you
This piece is for those who lose someone they love and feel as though all the colors that make them have been lost.
