Mountains of Me
One week ago
My dog
In my arms
Died.
I haven’t felt anything since.
I’ve used passion to cover my face
Perhaps i’ve fooled you.
But i’m the fool
This isn’t a poem
Its an attempt
To do what I need to do.
Something i’ve waited to long for
To feel again
To cry
So I can climb the crests of the world again
By riding it’s troughs
While our fools horde satisfaction
Only to find their toys looking dull.
But I seek despair
I seek pain
I seek love
I seek hate
I seek fear
I seek thrill
I seek joy
I will not stop at the first mountain
I will descend and climb the next
