If I desired, the vivid violent scenes
of reality being gruesomely twisted
where a man morphs to a killing machine
My careful fingers would not click
the horror section on a dim screen,
dried lips parted in fear of life's final stages.
maroon bloodstains never to be clean,
Do you crave the smell of terror? Silly girl,
its been with you, right over here for ages,
lurking everywhere, silent and unseen
in the newspapers black and white pages
