Where I'm from, but where I belong
I’m from a crammed, hasty city,
But I belong in a free, still vicinage.
I’m from a chaotic, cluttered home,
But I belong in a mellow, collected home.
I’m from a hesitant, routined home,
But I belong in a decisive, venturous home.
I’m from a girl being known as quiet and shy,
But I belong being known as the observant, genial girl.
I'm from a corrupted, perplexing world,
But I belong in a placid, forgiving world.
It is gratifying that I know where I’m from,
But it is precious to know where I belong.
