I Am Me
I am from gray walls and flower bedspreads
From blonde hair and blue eyes
I am from long nights filled with homework
Followed by late night softball games
I am from Pizza Night at my grandma´s on Sundays
From sleepovers with my friends
I am from waking up at noon on the weekends
From riding Ace and learning new tricks during lessons with Liz
I am from watching Chicago P.D. on Wednesdays
From skinny jeans and converse
I am from reading a good book and losing track of time
From homemade Belgian cookies and Netflix
I am from binge watching Riverdale and The Vampire Diaries
From crying for no reason
I am from looking in the mirror and seeing my mascara streaked face
Then remembering the happy things that remind me of where
I am from
