your falsely-friendly, futile attempt
at friendliness
is sickening to my whole being.
why do I allow myself
to be riled up by you?
I’m not here for an occasional,
self-centered, one-sided conversation
when you happen to remember I’m alive.
I don’t want to speak to you
and remember when my existence
was all you thought about,
but now it slips your mind
like how you can’t seem to grasp
that we’re not friends.
