the news today say

{they}are the ones responsible

for why the things that happen, happen.

and all the while, life has become a (circle) of

disheartening stories, sickening deaths, and

the consequences of other people’s actions.

there is no intake [breathe in];

{their}lungs hold in everything that

demands to be let out.

the sorrows of life consist of

grief, sadness, bitterness,

and death, the worst of all because

some were deemed unfit to continue - - - ||

and others were considered worthless.

caught // trapped // in the midst of gunshots and terror —

he had no right to walk in —> and pull <— the trigger.

a body has the ability to poison its members to death,

mistake

or not.

this is what mankind does

to itself.

{we}wrote our fates and were too late

to catch the mistake;

perhaps{our}fault was in the stars the entire time.

{we}just never cared to look up, missing the chance

to see if everything was aligned and destined

to come crashing down.

history will repeat — repeat — itself in wars and atomic bombs.

let not the same battle scars and missing brothers

|| enslave || the next >> generation.

there is only so much blood in the world that can be spilled [breathe out]

before the life of the earth is |consumed| with

our guilt.

we have been gifted with voices so that we could speak,

hands so that work could be done,

and feet so that our footprints would not

be lost and left to whisper apologies.

tell     me     it’s    not     my

 f——          a——         u—        l—         t—        when he points the gun to my head

    and i exhale

one

final

time.
