Rainbows stand so bright

They shine high up in the sky

People turn to look

Clouds white and puffy

They are like white marshmallows

Drifting in the sky

The very green grass

Sits still on the ground all day

But it grows like hair

Tree trunks are a home

For the squirrels and chipmunks

It is a tall home

The beautiful breeze

It constantly comes and goes

It blows for seconds

The colorful leaves

Some on trees some on the ground

They will soon fall down

The ocean and sea

They are so cold and salty

Many creatures near

The sun is so bright

It always shines upon us

It makes us feel good

Rocks are everywhere

We want to throw them far away

They are very strong

Sunflowers grow tall

They are so pretty

Very sunny and happy

The author's comments:

I wrote this piece based on nature. I thought how lovely it would be if I were to write about this topic in a haiku form.
