The Story of Nature
A sing-song echoes,
Birds found mid conversation,
Only to say goodbye
Unnatural item,
Only ivy to be seen,
Wrapped in living green
Water rushes,
Over rocks and sticks alike,
Crystal clear – dark trash
Sliding and creeping,
A dragon with no legs or wings
Under and over again
Mysteries found in green,
Story-telling in the wild
Stop and think awhile
Time is endless,
But in nature it stops
Holding us there – now
Look around and see,
What nature has for you and me,
To be witnessed and seen
Mysteries unnamed,
Stories new and untold,
Waiting to be known.
