A Hastily Wrote Christmas Haiku
Bells are ringing, children singing
The world leaks joyous celebration and faith
Nothing can go wrong today
Christmas trees bedecked with silver
Gingerbread and peppermint greet the hungry senses
Brightly wrapped presents tempt greatly
Bells are ringing, children crying
The clock strikes a low, dismal beat
For christmas has left again
We remember a wonderful child
Who gave us reason to celebrate Christmas
And the spirit stays yearlong
