My sword loses grip
The beast lunges to slay me
I'm about to die

The demon attacks
But a light shines, blinds my eyes
An angelic shield

My strength recovers
My blade returns to my hand
The foe holds his ground

I raise my weapon
Slash at my adversary
And he is no more

But there won't be songs
Or tales of my victory
When I return home

For this was my beast
A demon for I alone
The demon inside
