I like this a lot! Haikus are tricky, but you did a really nice job with it - it's definitely unique. The only line I felt like I stumbled over a tiny bit was "Sun soaking my skin." It felt like it lost its flow a little bit - but that's totally me being picky for the sake of improvement. You really captured the feeling everyone gets right before summer vacation. Great job!!

Recently, I've been writing a lot of haiku myself and it helps to read other haikus. I also lik ehow you've touched a more literal side of things. A lot of poetry I read is so deep it almost gets confusing and chiche. This isn't a very deep poem, but it's nice to read such effortless and simple poems sometimes.
