Finding Myself and Letting You Go
Maybe you could have stayed
But it’s not like I would have changed
At first I was scared of you leaving home
But I figured out that I’m happier here alone
I don’t need someone controlling my every move
Realizing that living life shouldn’t be worrying about what I will lose
Everything will soon come together for me
I won’t have to worry about who I can’t be
You couldn’t accept me if it meant I had flaws
You wanted perfection, you wanted it all
I’m sorry I couldn’t give that to you
Hopefully you can find happiness in whatever you do
Although I should have known this all along
It just took me awhile to let go and be strong
But you taught me a lesson I will remember forever
Don’t let someone change you, being yourself is always better
