Daydreaming the Day Away
I sit and listen,
To the lecture given.
But there is no stopping me,
From dreaming of a fantasy.
Seeing a world I created,
Knowing it won’t be overrated.
Everything is what I invented,
A world that is relented.
Gigantic cakes,
Without tummy aches!
Friendly dinosaurs,
Willing to give you tours!
Insane rollercoasters,
Built by toasters!
Wonderful waterfalls,
Better than a shopping mall!
Enormous balls of cotton candy,
No cavities would come in handy!
Gardens of chocolate flowers,
You could munch on for hours!
It may rain gum drops,
But you control when it stops!
And strings of licorice that go on for miles,
Bringing nothing but endless smiles.
I do things the way I want,
Living all nonchalant.
Daydreaming consumes my day,
Until a classmate has to say,
“Wake up, class is over!”
