i will be strong

i have to be strong
my tears, heavy as bricks
my sweat, quick as the blood through my veins
my view, dim as a blackout
the pounding silence
the roaring heartbeat
i am strong
my pain
my fear
my lust for strength
I'm not broken yet
heart in my stomach
hands on my head
knees to my chin
i won't break
i am not broken
my hair disarray
eyeliner, driving down my cheek
polish, picked off
chaos
i can't break
my lashes stuck together
the sides of my nose, red
sniffles
breathes
inhale
exhale
strength
i am not broken
i will not break.
