reflection of me
i am only a shell
of what i used to be.
merely a ghost,
pretending to be me
if you looked into my shadows,
what would you see?
a lonely soul roaming,
crying to be set free.
the thread of self-hatred,
surrounds and moves through me.
devouring my very soul,
to the point of no return
i try to be happy,
show everyone what they want wish to see,
im sorry but the sad truth is
this person you see?
this person isn't me.
my smile is painted on
my laughs,an over played record.
my tears run free,
because you don't see the real me.
im sorry i cant be what it is that you wish to see.
