I will protect you
I am the guardian of your heart
Nothing shall hurt you while I’m around
So worry not my little sweetheart
You are my protection until the end of my countdown
You never asked for it but it is my responsibility
As I care about your feelings more than my own
That is what is killing me
I can be chewed up, bleeding out, or disowned
And yet, I will still consider you the life of my soul
My heart is bleeding
But worry not about me
After all I do not matter
In your eyes, a hero is what I will never be
It does not matter
I can live the rest of my life in denial
For the only way I can be happy
Is to see you smile
