Day and Night
Moon and Sun
Dark and Light
Dusk and Dawn
Voices sound close
Yet warm embraces seem hollow
Wherever she goes
He cannot seem to follow
Passionate kisses can never be shared
Fingers will never lace together
Souls feeling empty and bare
Knowing the torment would last forever
He found felicity
Hidden within murk shadows
She saw obscurity
Veiled by bright tomorrows
Oh, Fate, what a trickster indeed!
Keeping these young lovers apart
You refuse to even listen to them plead
Now they end up with broken hearts
