Sunny Weather
You know I'd do anything just to make you smile,
Go outta my way to make you stay a while-- oh baby, stay with me forever
Well I think you and I know we're meant to be,
and just what do you think you've done to me?
You got me head-over-heals, heart on my sleeve crazy
Oh, you're my sunny weather,
the one I go running to when the lightning crashes down--
you're my safe and sound
And I know you'll be there for me, and oh, if you could only see just what you've done to me
My sunny weather, darling
I hope I'm not raining down on your parade,
But I'm getting tired of these charades
It took so long to know you were mine-- well I guess you weren't mine, were you?
Well, baby you're a force to be reckoned with, but I'd reckon we'd make a good team
But we know she'd thought the same, and you played on both leagues
And I can't say that you hurt me, but I will say you destroyed me at the time
Now I'll make sure someone's mine, before I fall again
Now you're my stormy weather,
I realize you're the reason why the lightning crashes down
Even when you're not around
And I know you'll be there for me, but only temporarily
What have you done to me, done to me?
Now I'll the quarterback on the other team
and forget how my life was supposed to be... how was I supposed to be?
Now he's my sunny weather,
the one I come running to even when I'm safe and sound-- cause I know that he's around
And he may make mistakes, you see, but I wont let them get to me
Cause he'll never be what you used to be....
And I can't say that you hurt me but I will say you destroyed me at the time....
