I Remember
Summer thrills
Winter chills
Things I'd almost forgotten
And a song, Mother sings
Thoughts I almost got lost in
Loved ones hold me safe and warm
Puppies run in a wintry storm
Family laughing softly
Across my memory
Far away, Long ago
Siblings played in the silver snow
Snowballs, snowmen, and a sled
Things I almost remember
Human life I left for this
My lips meet veins in a bloody kiss
Master teaches me to feed
Take enough to meet my need
All of this I tell and more
Dancing by a sandy shore
There's the song that Mother sings...
Things that now I remember
