someone else
i have something i want to say
i just need to find a way
to put it into simple terms
i just can't seem to find the words
it's something i want to say so bad
it's all inside - driving me mad
it's a simple question - it's not tough
i'm just not used to asking this stuff
Chorus:
it's not like me to be so shaken up
you give me the shivers when you say whatsup
i need to pull it together
so i can ask you easily
i like you - do you like me?
in elementary school is when it started
and i know from then on we could never be parted
we started talking more and more each day
before our conversations stopped at "hey"
but now we're older, more mature
and i'm starting to realize the way you look at her
i'm starting to make assumptions - starting to see
that the girl you like probably isn't me
Chorus:
it's not like me to be so shaken up
you give me the shivers when you say whatsup
i need to pull it together
so i can ask you easily
i like you - do you like me?
so i brought it up one day in class
how you looked at her first, and me last
and you said " i like you but just as a friend"
that was when i started to pretend
like everything was okay,
but i will really never forget the next day
as the girl he liked was never me
so much for the future i used to see
Chorus-pt.2
It's not like me to be so shaken up
she's the one who gets shivers when he says whatsup
she pulled it together
she asked him easily
she said i like you - do you like me?
and in return he said yes i do
infact he said um.. i love you
she stood there in awe - didn't know what to do
then she said aloud - i love you too
