"Hey"
Hey. Don't look down. There's nothing for you on the ground.
Hey. Don't look back. There's nothing behind you willing to attack.
Hey. Don't look around. It’s a maze out there and you’ll never be found.
Just keep your eyes on the road ahead, on the path in sight, reach for the light.
Trapped in your mind, struggling to escape
The needle keeps turning and the seconds slip away
I’m trying to pull you out of this infinite mire
Hey. Time you’ve lost is not worth the years spent trying to get it back.
Hey. Time’s never up. There’s always a second chance for redemption.
Hey. You’re not lost. It’s just dark, I’ll light the way
If you swear to hold my hand then I swear I’ll never let go…
Trapped in your mind, struggling to escape
The needle keeps turning and the seconds slip away
I’m trying to pull you out of this infinite mire
(8-bar solo)
Oh------(as solo fades)
I can’t hear you
I can’t see you
I can’t feel you
Where are you?
Just shout “hey”
If you’re out there
Just say my name
And I’ll be there…(go high)

Oh, and it's supposed to have a sort of bluesy with a slower
...atmospheric feel? I don't want to use "psychedelic" but I can't really think of any other way to describe it. If you listen to Opeth, "Burden" was the instrumental inspiration for this song.
